Kyle Bakas – Executive Director/Director of Coaching
Kyle was born and raised playing soccer in Southern California. He attended college at The Catholic University of America where he was a walk on for the soccer team. After college he began coaching in the D.C. metro area. He was a U11-U14 Girls Age Group Director at Alexandria Soccer Association as well as the Head Women’s Coach for T.C. Williams High School and led the team to their first playoff victory in 25 years.
Kyle helped found a program as an Assistant Coach with Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota. He was named the Head Coach of Duluth F.C. and led the squad to a North Conference title and Midwest Semifinal Appearance in 2017. Kyle holds the USSF Senior ‘A’ License, and NSCAA Premier Diploma. He began work at Magic City August 2017.
Kevin Luse – Director of Player Development
Kevin is originally from Kansas City, MO. He began coaching with Magic City Soccer Club in 1997 and has coached a number of teams and age groups since. He has been a head varsity coach for local high school teams and currently is the assistant women’s coach for Rocky Mountain College. He holds a USSF “A” License.
Sara Campbell – Assistant Director of Coaching
Sara was born and raised in Billings, Montana. She played for the Skyview Falcons in high school and later went on to play as a 4 year starter for the University of Montana (DI). After her collegiate career, Sara went on to play professionally for the Seattle Sounders, Fort Collins Force, Chicago Red Eleven, Kvarnsveden IK (Sweden), and the Tarina Rovers (Australia).
Sara has served as an assistant coach for University of Montana, Montana State University Billings, and Rocky Mountain College (graduate assistant). In 2014, Sara founded the Edge Soccer Academy and served as director and director of coaching until 2017 when Edge merged with Magic City to form Billings United Soccer Club. She currently also coaches for the Montana Olympic Development program.
Sara has a USSF A license and a certified strength and conditioning specialist certificate. She is a part-time instructor at MSUB where she teaches health and human performance classes. She has a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance and a master’s degree in sports management.
Sara’s coaching philosophy is to provide an informative, supportive environment that encourages players, coaches and parents to learn, develop and pursue their passions on and off the playing field.
