Each session is 45 minutes long. Training sessions will be composed of fun games and scrimmages in order to maximize enjoyment, positive social interaction and self-confidence. The first 25-30 minutes of each session will teach and develop basic motor skills while introducing basic technical ball skills. Players will learn basic technical skills such as dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting. A low ball to player ratio will be emphasized during training sessions in order to maximize touches on the ball and keep players engaged. The final 15-20 minutes will consist of mixed small sided scrimmages where we will aim to teach field boundaries and direction of play.
Each training is 1 hour long. The first 30-40 minutes of each session will consist of detailed technical training. An emphasis will be placed on players learning, in detail, how to correctly perform technical skills essential to becoming a complete player (turns, 1v1, receiving, passing, shooting, etc.). A low ball to player ratio will be emphasized during training sessions in order to maximize touches on the ball and keep players engaged. The final 20-30 minutes will consist of mixed small sided free play (3v3 or 4v4), where players will be encouraged to use the proper technique introduced that day.
This program is typically only 3 weeks long. We have added a bonus session in case you do have to miss because you are exploring the great outdoors
